Typostammtisch – Quiz Night!
The final Berliner Typostammtisch of the year is this Thursday evening at 7pm.
Bring a sharp pencil and your thinking caps because it’s quiz night! Always a fun (and frustrating) evening, quizmasters Christoph Koeberlin and Tim Ahrens will certainly humble you and make you realize you don’t actually know as much as you think.
{Geselligkeit Galore} 30. Berliner Typostammtisch
Es wurde angeregt, den ursprünglichen Stammtischcharakter wieder mehr in den Fokus zu rücken. Diesen Vorschlag greifen wir gern auf. Ganz ohne Vortrag und doppelten Boden können also Mitbringsel diskutiert und dabei neue Kontakte geknüpft werden.
Bitte bringt dazu etwas mit:
1. eine eigene Arbeit (z.B. Schriftentwurf, Gestaltung mit Schrift, Schrift-Fotos),
2. eine typografische Fundsache, die euch sehr gut gefällt (z.B. Fachbuch, Flyer, Fahrplan, Plattencover)
oder
3. eine typografische Fundsache, die euch überhaupt nicht gefällt.

No presentation this time, instead you can bring found objects to discuss. Please bring any of these:
1. a work of your own (e.g. type design, design with type, type photos),
2. a found typographical item that you like (e.g. book, flyer, train map, record cover)
or
3. a found typographical item that you don’t like.
(This event is in German. Most discussions will be, too. You should come anyway, everybody speaks English)

Come by Max&Moritz at 19:00 to test your typographic knowledge (with the support of a small group), win some awesome prizes, hang out with other type fanatics, and enjoy some great food and drinks.

October Typostammtisch
Don’t forget, this Thursday (in two days) is the 27th Berlin Typostammtisch at the Max und Moritz restaurant. It will feature 6 of the 2011 KABK graduates and their type designs. It starts at 19:00, there is plenty of good food and drink to be had, as well as usually 40-50 of Berlin’s most friendly typeaholics.

immer mehr Schriftgestalter und Foundries siedeln sich in Berlin an. Auch sechs der zwölf Absolventen des renommierten Den Haager Masterstudiengangs Type]Media zieht es nun an die Spree. Grund genug, sie gleich mal zum wichtigsten regelmäßigen Typografietreffen der Stadt einzuladen.
Viel positives Feedback ernteten Linda Hintz, Lauri Toikka, Yanone, Florian Schick, Malte Herok und Yassin Baggar für ihre studentischen Abschlussprojekte – zu sehen auf der Jahrgangs-Website http://typemedia2011.com/. Ich freue mich, dass die (Neu-)Berliner eben diese am Donnerstag, den 27. Oktober um 19 Uhr im Max&Moritz vorstellen und sich den Fragen und Diskussionen stellen werden. Dazu sei recht herzlich eingeladen.
